Not a lot, it seems!

I get the NUJ house magazine The Journalist every month or so.

In the current issue (March) there's an interesting article by a freelance journalist called Nick Inman.

He has written a very good article critical of journalists who don't bother to reply to emails or letters if sent personally to the journalist concerned.

One paragraph is of interest to Safespeed:
"The Guardian's George Monbiot, for instance, invites feedback from his website, but replies to emails with an automatically generated message saying he is too busy to answer them.

"I'm busy too... yet it would never occur to me not to acknowledge an email let alone a letter, which is written to me personally. At least, 'thanks but no thanks, which takes ten seconds to type and send. It's just courtesy." (c) Nick Freeman/The Journalist/NUJ.

So, there we have it. George Monbiot is seen as being too being for his boots and far too grand for his own good.

I'm sorry, I can't believe what Nick Inman says without independent verification.

A pseudo "academic" who not live in real world.

Has no concept of common sense.

Peer review mean much to him

Academia does not necessarily be gifted with common sense values as they tend to live by what a text book tell them/

They not the same as the academia which the Nazi feared..

Past academia challenge the rules.. thwart them .. extend boundaries .. rebel.

Current Graundiadista of the left wing loony brigade would have us back under Spanish Inquisition .. but of a differnent dogmatic edge of blind following of some presribed "bible bashing"

I am brought up Catholic. I like the tradition und the ethics taught. but I say what I sassy-well think all the same

Are you being serious? Or was that a joke? :)

If not, could you explain?

Clearly his work has not been peer reviewed!

I'm sorry, I was trying to make an amusing reference to Monbiot's obsession with peer review. :)

As long as it supports his view, don't you mean ?
