I was just shopping around for quotes and just out of couriousity trying different occupations etc.

Last year my partner was involved in an accident - she stopped at a petrol pump in tescos and the woman at the pump in front stuck her car into reverse and run straight into my partners car. She admitted liability and just for good measure tesco preserved the tapes from cctv to ensure that it was clear my partner had not shunted the other car from behind.

If this non fault accident was included in the the quote with my partner as a second driver on my policy it increaseses the premium by around £100!!

I am literally angry with rage!

I really think its unfair that I am being penalised for the poor driving of someone else and wonder what the cost of it will be over the 5 years you have to declare it.

Suggest you look around a bit more & stress the NO FAULT bit of the claim

They still load your policy for it.

I've been rear ended 3 times since getting my current car in 2004, it does seem to put the policy up :(

I suppose i can see one side of this as being the driver who has technically done nothing wrong by the law but tends to put themselves in situations where an accident is more likely to happen - like the type that drive for miles in others blind spots on the motorway etc. I'm sure there are more thana few "people just don't seem to see me" drivers out there.

I do think that sitting at a petrol pump with your engine off and being reversed into does not however make you more of a risk!

I'm just pretty peaved that beside all the usual hassle of getting the car repaired i'm also out of pocket with no way to recrtify it.

It just feels like they've got us by the nadgers and are happy to squeeze and squeeze. It all sounds a bit familiar....

And something which is not obvious with most policies is that if you change your vehicle, they charge you "administrative costs" of £15-30 (maybe more, I don't claim to have done a survey) and don't tell you unless you ask, or read the small print.
