I post this up for information.
From a colleague who is a keen cyclist and often commutes on his bike to work....
He tells me of a world wide event.
At precisely 7pm in local time .. cyclists across the globe will get a-pedalling in silence to commemorate all those cyclists who died world wide as a result of a collision with a car. The aim is to remind all using a motorised and powerful mode of transport to exercise caution when faced with a cyclist.
All those talking part are not to ride faster than12 mph.
Personally .. I would advocate COAST for all

and urge all to give a cyclist some room. I would also suggest all cyclists help build bridges and gain respect by adhering to the Highway Code.. Cycle Craft advice and all should refresh with the Bikeability course which proved to me on a recent course that we all have things to learn and address. I passed with flying colours .. but I do admit to learning much from the person instructing me and our children and current fosters at the time
I can sincerely recommend getting in touch with the CTC and refreshing skills with their instructors and for families .. this is an excellent bonding with your kith and kin means
