Not if you are going to continue with your appalling exaggeration of 'six million people arriving here, fragmenting society' Which is neither accurate or true.

"Appalling exaggeration" is an exaggeration, although I am not appalled by it. It was out by perhaps 2%, depending on which timescale you use, and I have already admitted that.

Let's get this straight. I have not spoken ill of anyone, least of all you FJSrider. Along with a huge number of Brits, I have no problem whatsoever with any individual who settles here as long as they make some attempt at conforming to the host nation's ways and pull their weight. The difficulties arise when they start to outnumber the indigenous population, as is happening in parts of London. Is that surprising?

The Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and Daily Express together sell over 4 million copies a day - equating to some 10 million readers who broadly agree with their views on the immigration explosion we have seen over the last decade or two. They cannot be ignored.

A problem does not go away by denying its existence. Rather, it can get worse by neglect. Only by acknowledging it can understanding come about and solutions be found.

It would also help this discussion if you got rid of that intrusive picture of a motorbike and replaced it with some logical dialogue.

I would like to hear your definition of indiginous population. How many generations/how many years/how much money contributed to the nation's economy makes someone indiginous?!

Again, subjective, meaningless terms to cover an alternative agenda.

IMO and experience there is no such thing as indiginous population. Every individual is a new start, and people who grow up chavs and wasters have no more righteousness just because they started their life on this soil. It is about time you stopped looking for excuses or distractions from the real issue.

A reality in this country is that we have a huge skills shortage due to our education system believing that we could all become managers. There is a huge migration of brains out of this country because we have a glut of people qualified to degree level who end up in low paid work. At the same time some of our highest earners are in the building trade because we neglected to train enough brickies, plumbers, joiners and electricians. Now we are having to import people with these trades to satisfy this country's housing requirements. Migration occurs because there are economic forces driving it, not just because a few dark skinned people fancy a change of scenery.

See, it is never as simple as the naysayers make out.

'Appalling' as you are claiming it has some value to add to your increasingly desperate and groundless point of view.

Indirectly you have. (My father was a refugee from the Nazi's and my wife is a foreign national)

It isn't surprising that you still are making up appalling exaggerations.

10 million readers? Where did you get that figure from? And how can you extrapolate that of the four million copies sold that every reader agrees with their views on immigration?

A problem doesn't exist simply by you fabricating spurious figures.

the "child bearing age" argument makes about as much sense as the rest of the tripe posted on this thread.

If you have a choice of hiring a female of child bearing age or a male of the same age, the odds are in your favour. Why? If the female decides to wrecklessly go and get themself pregnant (thereby ensuring the future of the species, and that YOUR pension and old age care are supported) they have, by law, to give you notice of intention to take maternity leave. The recommendation, and common practice, is that the notice is given as soon as the pregnancy is confirmed - about 12 weeks gestation. That gives the employer 25 or so weeks to find cover.

The male employee deciding to leave? 4 weeks, cheerio.

Ist more or less what I said in a debate down the Pie und Piston over the road :hehe: Thread was about the career mama (you know - the one who has lots of children ... from lots of different men .. just to get benefits ... ) - it drifted onto bash all wimmin who dare hold a job und dare to want their cakes und creamiest milks by having kittens und a nice job - which they worked for as young girlies at school und uni.

Apparently .. per one bloke (whom got the full claws dug into him .. he ist really super polite to me on-line now .. :rotfl: ) I should not have received any maternity leave und stayed at home slavishly stirring Mad Doc's tea for him und waiting on him und the kids "paws und whiskas"

No matter... have me.. have my kittens .. have my intellectual kittens which make a few bob too ...

My argument was that the firm und society benefit from the each worthy employee's input - und it just happens that wimmin can have kittens - with a bit of input from a man  (even if one goes that "trendy way" - which ist just no fun   )

Und after maternity leave - most of us go back to work after the first 6 months und as for this 12 months pay which ist coming into law - couples can split it however suit them und the boss. (Ist only just over £100 as SMP - und depend on individual firm policy as to what they may pay out as "perk" - which they may offer as they value the staff they recruited in first place und hold out these perks to attract the toppest und bestest candidates for their jobs in first place.

As for homosexuals... und "it ain't natural"... We've always had them .. und if you observe animals (Kriss ist a vet .. she has lurid stories over horses, bulls .. und rams und the odd dog! Ist not restricted to human animal then.. so not some deliberate act - but rather something which the individual feels.. something in their make-up .. und thus "natural to them".

Ist when they adopt a camp und sissy manner which they think they should adopt which bugs me a bit.. No need for it. I do not need to know by an exxageration of perceived behaviour. Other body language would inform me as a "sexy woman who appreciates the power und attraction of a man" that "not the husband type" (Mad Doc .. was instant attraction.. he has a cute bum und sexy eyes   8-) )

Race? I dislike the erosion of our culture und a pee-cee fear of upsetting one particular religion. Whites have converted to this religion und most followers of Islam are normally NOT ZEALOTS!

The "zealots" in question are not true followers of any faith as they incite violence und hatred. Truly decent do not harm others in any case. The issue ist more to do with politics und wanting to establish a rule. I would not want Shariah Laws here.

There is no point in trying to continue a discussion with someone whose views are so distorted as to dismiss Migrationwatch UK as "a bunch of loonies". Let's examine the "loonies" who make up its advisory council:

Professor David Coleman: Professor of Demography at Oxford University.

Baroness Cox: Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords since 1986. Vice President of the Royal College of Nursing.

John Disley: Former Chairman of Immigration Tribunal

Emeritus Professor James Duguid: Bacteriologist and microbiologist Member of the General Medical Council 1975 - 1981, and of the Optimum Population Trust UK.

Sir Andrew Green (Chairman): Former Ambassador to Syria and Saudi Arabia.

Sir Donald Hawley: Former Ambassador to Oman and British High Commissioner in Malaysia and Chairman of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs.

Harry Mitchell QC: Immigration Adjudicator.

Professor Roger Williams: Director, Institute of Hepatology, University College London.

Patricia Skitmore: Full time immigration judge until retiring last year

Emeritus Professor Mervyn Stone: Professor in the Department of Statistical Science at University College London with a particular concern for the integrity of statistical arguments in public affairs.

Hazhir Teimourian: Iranian-born writer on Middle Eastern history and politics with the BBC World Service and The Times.

Dirk van Heck: Former Head of Research at the European Foundation.

Are you seriously telling me this eminent group of people, for several of whom rigorous research and application of data has been central to their long and distinguished careers, just make things up? Or that you know far more about the subject than them?

You call them are a bunch of loonies. If that's you stance, I cannot take you any more seriously than I do the man who called SafeSpeed and the ABD "a bunch of crackpots". Step forward Richard Brunstrom.

Seeing as you started the pissing contest...

Prof. David Begg - Chair of the Commission for Integrated Transport. A fancy title and status doesn't stop someone from having an agenda or being a 'loonie'.

PS. How's about a cohesive reply to my post above regarding what exactly constitutes indiginous populous, and the economic driving forces behind continual migration.

You can give up whenever you want. You keep promising us that you will.

As for your list, simply being described as 'eminent' by you is of no consequence and as Migrationwatch is dedicated to reducing immigration so they will present figures in a way to support their arguments.

Where has this actually happened?

Birmingham & West Bromwich at least. I know this for a fact, as this is the area in which I live and have seen it first-hand with my own eyes.

Just a couple more for you.

Now rather than keep asking me to justify my stance (which I have done), how about you tell me how multi-culturalism benefits me.

How does our open door immigration policy benefit me?

Is it right for this country to keep absorbing immigrants?

I'm open to being educated - so try not to adopt your usual abusive, confrontational style.

Just a couple more for you.

These are hardly relavent to showing how 'multi-culturalism has a lot to answer for particularly the indigenous people not being allowed to celebrate their way of life, religion etc for fear of upsetting someone from a different way of life'.

I also asked how thay affected you. I can't see that these can have affected you in any way whatsoever and the fire service one is actually explained as 'a regulation' in the BBC article!
Quote:
"The display of any flags, stickers or advertising material other than that approved by the service is not permitted on any vehicles or premises owned by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service."

You really need to try harder to find ways the 'indigenous people' are being oppressed.
BottyBurp wrote:

No you haven't.

I have said nothing about any of those topics, you have brought them up, you have to prove that they are a problem. It is not up to me to defend your prejudices.

Aren't they?! Perhaps you can't read?
Both examples show "for fear of upsetting someone".

Not being able to wear a badge on a uniform or fly a flag from a fire engine? Get a grip, neither stop anyone from 'celebrating their way of life or their religion'

And we are still waiting to hear just how your was Christmas spoiled all those years ago by Birmingham City Council and their 'Winterval'?

Seeing a 'George Cross' on a fire engine would upset me. It is bad enough on every other builders van, let alone waving from professional safety equipment.

But still so what? This is not stopping anyone from 'celebrating their way of life or their religion' at all. It is a policy decision that affects a few of the more moronic football supporting fire personal in Hampshire. Not you and not any of the 'indigenous' population.

A dislike of multiculturalism - as opposed to welcoming immigrants and promoting integration - is in no way a sign of racism. I believe in treating all people as people.

Multiculturalism encourages a victim culture and is divisive.

Please read this:

http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php? ... ticle/684/

it points out how multiculturalism is a right-wing construct...

Large scale immigration to an area within a short time period is going to have a marked difference. I don't think Anyone can deny that. The more 'outsiders' that enter an environment, the more that environment will change. The UK is no different to your office or street.

The questions we need to address are if we think that it is desirable, if we think it's necessary.

if the above are agreed then we need to ask how it should be managed.

My own view, for what it's worth, is that there should be very strict entry criteria based on the nation's need. But once you're a british citizen then there you go.

Could it be possible that the 'camp' and 'sissy' manner of some male homosexuals, comes as naturally to them as does the 'butch' and 'manly' manner comes to some male heterosexuals?

I don't think anyone purposely adopts a way of acting to fit a stereotype of their sexuality, behaviour is definately more a matter of nature and nurture than an active choice to fall into either one extreme category of behaviour or another, in an act of 'flippantness'.
