Bladder contents raised to super-heat by this evening's BBC 'One Show' Eco-babble, I have posted the following reply. I'm not holding my breath for a response...
I cannot believe the number of platitudes gushed by the starry-eyed followers of the climate change swindle. Apparently reasonably-educated, but scientifically illiterate, they spout ill-informed buzzword-laden nonsense about 'carbon footprints', 'carbon neutrality' and 'carbon offset' - does not the fact that one can 'purchase' piety in the form of offsetting one's footprint underline that this is the greatest world-wide taxation scam of all time?
Only 8000 years ago the glaciers began to recede and it was no longer possible to walk to France. Where were the four-wheel-drives then? What fossil fuels were Humans using to cause that 'catastrophe'? Furthermore, what happened about the 'big freeze' predicted in the late 1970's?.
I am moderately certain that my missive will not get air-time, as it contravenes the terms laid down by Whitehall for the BBC to keep its monopoly of funding from the licence but, suffice to say, I am a physicist and I have read a large amount of evidence from both sides of the argument and one thing is glaringly obvious to me - that the research performed by the swindlers is mostly based on 'cherry-picked' statistics and 'worst-case-scenario' computer modelling whilst the refuters make reference to hard-gathered field evidence and I know full-well whose research I have chosen for its most likely reproducability - the very basis of all science.
Whilst I object wholeheartedly to the squandering of planetary resources, I object absolutely to being taken for a fool.
