Another example that in the right conditions, 118 mph with the right temperment of the driver, on our excellent motorways is NOT a problem.

There's a German expression, I can't remember it in German though, which translates into: 'there's no pleasure quite like the pleasure one gets from seeing a hypocryte fall from grace'. It's along those lines; I'll look it up later.

But isn't it funny how I can travel on the continent at 120 mph, done so on my Kawasaki mile after mile, and yet he probably zooms up to 118 mph for a moment and gets done. (Or maybe he was just coming down from 140 )

It's like I say, when enough of us are banned and society starts to break down, as indeed it will, they will have to think of something else.

I'm sure we would have felt perfectly safe in his car at the time and it's about time this fact was given some recognition.

Actually, I don't know what I'm laughing for but you're about there malcolm.

I speed-read a book last night which I remembered reading it from. (I need to get out more). I was a little off with the translation though..

"Die reinste Freude ist die Schadenfreude"

Which, it continues to say, translates to: The purist joy is the malicious joy we take in the misfortunes of those we have envied.

Seems a long translation for such a short German expression. Anyone know German here? Is the translation about right?
