I was recently sent a link to:

http://www.petrolprices.com

This looks like a very useful site and a worthy successor to the late lamented AA Petrolbusters.

I've exchanged a few e-mails with the guy responsible - he says that because of commercial constraints from the information providers, the site can't be quite as specific as he would like. But even so well worth a look.

I too miss Petrolbusters. An alternative was suggested (can't remember its name) on uk.rec.driving some time ago. However it suffered from a lack of updates, so was basically fundamentally flawed.

For example I recommended the cheapest petrol station in the area at a time when prices were increasing, and it promptly slid down the list, as others hadn't been updated and were still showing out of date prices.

However I've just done a quick search of this one, and it does seem to be commendably up to date. Our local petrol station (which used to be the cheapest in the area, but is now one of the most expensive) commendably doesn't rate a mention - once you've registered, that is.
